2000 C_S_G / PLD version double skin HP fuel pipe recommendations - drill rigs / mining

Technical department, and MTU via attached old bulletin have been recommending for years now to promote the use of the “Double Skin HP fuel system” for some very key benefits to the customer –

  1.  Less likely for any HP fuel pipe failure to occur - reduces environmetal aspects, moisture entry, rusting to pipe junction regions.
  • If any HP pipe / junction leakage is to occur it is contained and diverted away from the valley of the engine and will provide a singular leakage point away from engine heat sources that can be monitored, captured etc…
  • The HP fuel pipes provide much less risk of concerns if reused (current single skin pipes are single use only and must be changed if opened etc).
Note the pipe # X52207700017 is the lateset double skinned version and will fit in all cylinder positions and not interfere with inlet manifold that was originally an issue for inital pipe and some intake manifold designs - refer attached "Double skin pipe geomtery and manifold influence.pdf"
Attached also an Excel BOM parts listing required for relative engine model and cylinder configurations.
