This realistically is just a running change MTU had to do which really shouldn’t affect you at all. Ie. a lot of the components within the ECU-UNI modules are no longer available in the market now days so to meet support for the world wide population utilising ECS-UNI they had to manufacture something suitable – they happened to call it ADEC-UNI. If the original part number is ordered they will be automatically superseded to the new part – as the old isn’t available any longer (as long as buying genuine obviously). Basically as far as you’re concerned externally and functionality is identical to ECS-UNI and should be a direct supersession with same form – fit- function.. the internals however utilise ADEC workings and they’ve released all relative software to suit and operate identically the same. attachedfrom some presentations – showing the same outer case and connections with different internals etc.. Since a couple of years you can't get spares for ECS-UNI anymore. ECS-UNI (Main and Back-up) and ECS-UNI LOP will be replaced by ADEC-UNI (Main and Back-up) and ADEC-UNI LOP.The ECS-UNI and ECS-UNI LOP had the FSW software stored in on-board memory ...
If any of the ECU 7 connectors are damaged ie. locking mechanisim / lever etc. and replacement is necessary please find attached parts details to source replacement parts as needed.
