Charging alternator for the starting batteriesis causing interference to the J1939 Can Bus line to controller, the alarm generated is a false alarm caused by interference. This can be confirmed by disconnecting charging alternator and running up generator set.Further checks of the j1939 can bus should be conducted if confirmed interference by the above procedure:120 OHM terminating resistors either end of comunication, twisted pair, shielding with grounding of shieldat one end, or if need be rerouted away from charging alternator.
