GENSET ES560 10V1600 with ComAp controller fail to start at predelivery

ComAp controller was retrofitted to a GENSET ES560 10V1600 (Originally had a Deep Sea controller). Purpose of retrofit was to enable two gensets to synchronise together of which the Deep Sea controllers were unable to. Symptom:Genset would not start: especially after battery isolator was cycled on->off.There were occasions were the genset did start. FindingsComAp controller communicated to ECU start signal via CAN.ECU parameter 2.1090.101 “start signal stored” was not active. The reason for occasional ability to start was that cranking and start sequence by the engine was quick enough to prevent ECU aborting start.Without ECU holding cranking (via start signal stored parameter) the ECU would crank for a very short period and abort starting. CorrectionChange ECU parameter 2.1090.101 “start signal stored” to active via diasys. Requires 1B level dongle.
