Sauer compressors require specific information to allow Penske to order parts.
Please see the linked related article on literature for an understanding of where the generic literature is held.
Attached is a quick knowledge guide which is intended to assist Penske staff in understanding what information is needed and how to go about procuring Sauer parts.
Key points:
- Penske are contractually obligated to provide type and serial number of equipment.
- Penske is only allowed to sell into the markets we have a partner licence for (Commercial shipping and Defence).
- If Sauer determine Penske does not have permission to sell to the customer they will redirect the inquiry to the appropriate partner.
- CAPS Australia are Sauer's local partner for the industrial market and Penske is required by Sauer to pass these inquiries over to them for response.
- Sauer use the serial number like a VIN to identify any delivery specific parts for the compressor for example safety valves, drain valves and electrical components.
- The part may not be on the system if Penske has not transacted it before.
- Care must be taken to understand if the customer is requesting additional certificates for testing components.
