“I followed up with MTU and they have confirmed that it is not possible to order either the OM906 or OM926 with factory supplied insulation on the exhaust manifold and/or turbo, it however possible for the OM904.Additional options are developed for the specific engine models to meet the requirements of large OEMs, (orders in the thousands of units), and this was the case with insulated exhaust system for the OM904. Unfortunately there hasn’t been the same requirement for the OM906/926.”
