A DCR should be summitted if any changes with the initial scope have changed on the project. If there are major changes to a project compared to the initial submitted RFES, a new RFES form should instead be summited. A DCR should only be submitted for minor changes.
If a Penske Off-highway drawing needs to be modified after Revision A, a DCR should be completed. This DCR will detail all the required changes on the drawing, why the changes are required, the date it was to be modified and the person requesting the DCR. Once the DCR is submitted, the revision table on the drawing should refer to the relevant DCR number. A copy of the DCR should also be saved in PDF and placed in the project folder on PDM.
The link to lodge a DCR is on The
Podium.
Fill in each field with all the relevant information. Once
you have submitted the DCR, this is now saved on monday.com.
When you have opened monday.com,
click on the ‘DCR tab’ on the left side. This will open all the DCR’s which have
been submitted. Click the ‘main table’ tab at the top of the page. Once you
have found the relevant DCR, you can see the DCR ID number which monday.com has
generated and assigned. This is the unique DCR ID number. Refer to this number
in your drawing revision table.
Saving a DCR PDF
Once a DCR has been submitted, a
PDF version of the DCR should be saved in the project folder on PDM. To save a
pdf version, click the DCR tab on the left tab. Search for the DCR and once
found, click the pdf export button on the top. Save this pdf in the project
folder.
