Replacement of Starter Motors on MTU 4000 Series Gas Gensets
Due to discontinuation by the manufacturers, the previously used starters for BR4000Gas from
Bosch® with part number (E)X52417200001 and from Prestolite® MS7 with part number
(E)X52417200003 and E)X52417200004 are no longer available.
In the field, when necessary, it is possible to change to the Prestolite M128R starter (8V+12V:
EX52417200065 ; 16V+20V: EX59417200009 + EX59417200010).
