When working on the 4000-01 series engine oil coolers a backup O-ring should be fitted to reduced the likelihood of oil leaking into the cooling system. The back up ring supports the original O-ring and limits the amount of movement "snaking" therefore reducing the risk of an oil leak occurring.In the attached document it highlights the orientation and part number of the back up ring.PN- OTH 8217.
