Maintenance and repair tasks on MTU engines are listed within the engine maintenance schedules related to specific QL (qualification) certification levels. QL1 is basic tasks listed within the engine operators manuals and all tooling required to perform tasks listed with this level of manual would be sellable to a genuine MTU owner or maintainer. QL3 & 4 level tasks required extensive specialised MTU certified training and therefor any specialised tooling required to perform any of these tasks cannot be sold external of PPS without supply of relevant training certificate for proofof qualification level obtained.
