Reman OM engine aftertreatment commisioning.

Reman OM engine aftertreatment commisioning.

  1. I.There is a requirement for Reman OM engines with aftertreatment systems sold through Penske AUNZ to have the aftertreatment system commissioned by RRPS / MTU. This is completed via VDOK and links to the new reman engines serial number to the ACM, CPC and VIN number. The process requires an additional form V-799  (see attached) to be submitted after the installation to satisfy the requirements of RRPS. Information required by RRPS is the ESN of the original  engine and a Quick test download via Xentry showing the original information of the MCM,ACM and CPC. After the completion of the engine replacement the ESN of the reman engine as well as a another Quick test download showing the change to the new Reman engine serial number is complete. The V-799 form also needs photos attached to show the current installation of all of the aftertreatment components. Both the before and after Quick test downloads and V-799 form need to be submitted via a REV with all information attached to be processed.

    1. Note: RRPS / MTU do not reimburse Penske AUNZ for the commissioning of these reman engines so the Penske aftersales personnel need to either allow for commissioning costs in the sale of the Reman engine or make it clear with the customer what their responsibility is regarding commissioning the aftertreatment system.
    2. Note: Failure to commission the aftertreatment system will make it not possible to get an unlock code from RRPS / MTU in the event of an aftertreatment fault that has been rectified and then needs the code cleared. Performance inducements will follow.
