OM MB engine re-rate possibilities
Re-rating OM engines is not standard practise if purely for suiting sales requirements and not holdingsuitable stock, but after recent follow up at FN,if is to assist a unit down the official procedure to rerate the same base model enginecan beavailable using the attached paperwork. This is a long process that needs a lot of approvals internally at MTU and Daimler. It costs :-The power difference of engine purchase cost + processing fee estimated as Eu 3,000 (note this is for a charge applied by Daimler to MTU)After all approvals in place It will then take atleast 6 weeks to order labels and relative data set for Xentry programming to be made available. If a re-rate is required then please follow all recommendations within LSB 16-22 to coordinate the required paperwork submissionvia the REV systemensuring is available to suitable Tech support Personnel toprocess further.
