ECS-UNI spare parts and replacement

Since a couple of years you can't get spares for ECS-UNI anymore. ECS-UNI (Main and Back-up) and ECS-UNI LOP will be replaced by ADEC-UNI (Main and Back-up) and ADEC-UNI LOP.The ECS-UNI and ECS-UNI LOP had the FSW software stored in on-board memory chips which could be transferred to spare parts but that is not possible if you have to replace it with ADEC-UNI. ADEC-UNI now handles software similar to all other ECUs via the central database (mainframe) with DiaSys. Data sets for old ECS-UNI engines are not available unless you request them. Therefore it is important that you immediately request the data set from MTU if you have to replace ECS-UNI with ADEC-UNI.Further information can be found in attached MTU service information.
