How to adjust valve clearances on OM502
The OM502 manual shows the barring tool hole with a timing marker cast into the flywheel housing, with a crank sensor flywheel groove lined up with it. However some engines have no timing marker cast into the housing, just a rectangular hole.To remove confusion the attached document provides two methods for valve clearance adjustment for the OM502LA engine which will allow clearances to be set no matter whether the timing marker exists or not.
